Mother's Day Musings

I wanted to take some time to write about the moms whose actions in rearing their children have had a profound impact on my life. Although my sentiments are short here, don't let that show I limit their influence on my life. They mean more to me than you know!

My mom, Janet Perry is the #1 best mom in the world. I know I am biased, and millions of pins, coffee mugs, T-shirts and greeting cards beg to differ, but they are wrong (and overpriced).

My grandmothers, Roberta Perry, Laurel Hall, and Carole Perry. Each of these amazing ladies has touched my life. Roberta Perry raised 2 boys while her husband worked as a firefighter. Laurel Hall raised my mother, who was one of 7 kids in the family. Carole Perry married my Grandpa James Perry nearly 3 years ago and paraphrasing a sentiment from his recent obituary guest book "you made an old man very happy in his last few years of life". And indeed she did. I don't know if I have ever seen him act so much like a young man in love as I saw him act with Carole.

I would also like to thank those mothers of the men who have been an inspirational part of my singles branch over the last 10 years. They have raised their sons to honor their priesthood and be kind and helpful gentlemen.

New Printer?!?!?!?!?

Can it be true? I'm getting a new printer at work?!?!?! I realize this might not be as exciting for you as it is for me. but what you must understand is that I have the oldest computer at work... by like 3 years or more (and in computer age, 3 years is a long time!) I've only been without a printer for like 3 days at work, but even when I did have a color printer, it didn't print on cardstock which ment I couldn't print the business cards, or the time cards. Now I can print color things at my desk that I would either have to have someone else print, or I would have to print them on the other side of the building, meaning I would have to go to the other side of the building, load the correct paper product in the printer, go back to my desk to hit the print button, back to the printer to collect the printed items, then back to my desk to do whatever I had planned on doing with it. (that is if I remember what I was going to do with it)

Rough Day

I can't say it's entirely been rough... just the last 20 minutes. The rest of my weekend was great! (that's for a happier blog post later.) As I was on my way home from a birthday party, I realized tomorrow is Monday. I have to go back to work tomorrow. And I don't want to. Going along with that is I'm sick of my job and I'm sick of complaining about my job. I'm grateful for the ability I have to work and provide for myself. I really am. But this last year, it's been really rough. Between a new boss and new rules and procedures I just dont want to be there anymore. I really dont! I'm sick of disliking Sunday nights so much because I know what the next day will bring. Frustration, anxiety, loathing, genereal dislike, feeling underappreciated. I dont know how much more of this job I can take! I was so worked up about this on the way home that I was crying. Then when I walked in the door of my house, I was to the point of being angry.
