December 5th Writing Prompt

I've decided that I need to write more. Over the years, typing out my thoughts have helped me work through some various thoughts and feelings. I found a website of daily writing prompt that I will try to write about at least a few days a week.


"December 5 The power of touch Textures are everywhere: The rough edges of a stone wall. The smooth innocence of a baby's cheek. The sense of touch brings back memories for us. What texture is particularly evocative to you?"

The power of touch.... I love the comforting feeling of warm blankets or towels from the dryer. It makes me feel warm and comfortable. It reminds me of doing laundry with my family growing up at the laundrymat. 
This may sound random, but I feel as if I've been able to tell if a plant is alive or fake because I can feel the coolness of the water in the leaves if it is alive, yet it feels like lifeless plastic.... decoration.

New Printer?!?!?!?!?

Can it be true? I'm getting a new printer at work?!?!?! I realize this might not be as exciting for you as it is for me. but what you must understand is that I have the oldest computer at work... by like 3 years or more (and in computer age, 3 years is a long time!) I've only been without a printer for like 3 days at work, but even when I did have a color printer, it didn't print on cardstock which ment I couldn't print the business cards, or the time cards. Now I can print color things at my desk that I would either have to have someone else print, or I would have to print them on the other side of the building, meaning I would have to go to the other side of the building, load the correct paper product in the printer, go back to my desk to hit the print button, back to the printer to collect the printed items, then back to my desk to do whatever I had planned on doing with it. (that is if I remember what I was going to do with it)

Rough Day

I can't say it's entirely been rough... just the last 20 minutes. The rest of my weekend was great! (that's for a happier blog post later.) As I was on my way home from a birthday party, I realized tomorrow is Monday. I have to go back to work tomorrow. And I don't want to. Going along with that is I'm sick of my job and I'm sick of complaining about my job. I'm grateful for the ability I have to work and provide for myself. I really am. But this last year, it's been really rough. Between a new boss and new rules and procedures I just dont want to be there anymore. I really dont! I'm sick of disliking Sunday nights so much because I know what the next day will bring. Frustration, anxiety, loathing, genereal dislike, feeling underappreciated. I dont know how much more of this job I can take! I was so worked up about this on the way home that I was crying. Then when I walked in the door of my house, I was to the point of being angry.
