Oh, the lessons I have learned...

A few years ago, I took a trip. Alone. And on this trip, I learned a lot about myself, others and the way agency works.  I learned I can do hard things. I learned I can go out on a limb, even if I don't know how strong that limb is. I learned how important it is to spend some time alone. I've learned how much fun it can me to meet new people. I've learned that no matter how awkward people try to make it, you can't make someone do something they don't want to do. And over the years, I've learned to be ok with that. 


I did learn some unique things as well. I relearned my love for a cappella as I spent many hours in the car. I learned how interesting it is to go Black Friday shopping by yourself. I learned that I can watch 3D movies without getting motion sick. I learned how much I enjoy IHOP pancakes. I learned I can entertain myself for hours with a camera, a tripod and a beautiful college campus. 


In the 5 years since this trip, the Lord has helped me learn even more. I've learned how much the Lord loves me. I know He has a plan for me. I know he keeps his promises. I've learned how to move on with hope for the future. And I am grateful for the experience and what I've learned since then.

New Printer?!?!?!?!?

Can it be true? I'm getting a new printer at work?!?!?! I realize this might not be as exciting for you as it is for me. but what you must understand is that I have the oldest computer at work... by like 3 years or more (and in computer age, 3 years is a long time!) I've only been without a printer for like 3 days at work, but even when I did have a color printer, it didn't print on cardstock which ment I couldn't print the business cards, or the time cards. Now I can print color things at my desk that I would either have to have someone else print, or I would have to print them on the other side of the building, meaning I would have to go to the other side of the building, load the correct paper product in the printer, go back to my desk to hit the print button, back to the printer to collect the printed items, then back to my desk to do whatever I had planned on doing with it. (that is if I remember what I was going to do with it)

When I pulled my car by the lodge, these words were sung: Fear Not, I am with thee oh be not dismayed for I am thy God and will still give thee aid. Rough Day

I can't say it's entirely been rough... just the last 20 minutes. The rest of my weekend was great! (that's for a happier blog post later.) As I was on my way home from a birthday party, I realized tomorrow is Monday. I have to go back to work tomorrow. And I don't want to. Going along with that is I'm sick of my job and I'm sick of complaining about my job. I'm grateful for the ability I have to work and provide for myself. I really am. But this last year, it's been really rough. Between a new boss and new rules and procedures I just dont want to be there anymore. I really dont! I'm sick of disliking Sunday nights so much because I know what the next day will bring. Frustration, anxiety, loathing, genereal dislike, feeling underappreciated. I dont know how much more of this job I can take! I was so worked up about this on the way home that I was crying. Then when I walked in the door of my house, I was to the point of being angry.
