Quote of the day:
I came across this quote when I was doing some homework for a class this morning:
“Knowing background information enables teachers to deal
sensitively with a fragile human being and to adjust instruction to special
needs.” (Quote from Reading Critique #2 for Susan Parks’ Reading Remediation class.)
This quote also applies to Welfare/Relief Society quite well. If we
have some information about what a person is going through, we are able to be
more sensitive in what we say and adjust comments and lessons to fit their
needs. We must, however, ensure that this information is kept confidential. This is also where having The Holy Ghost can help us. If we are in tune
with the Spirit, we can be told different ways to help those around us as they
face trials in their lives.
