Free at last!

With the end of the semester brings much needed freedom.
The freedom to craft!
As I have been looking around blog land, there are a few projects that I really want to try, but have not had the time to explore because of homework, papers, traveling and studying as well as working full time.
This blog post is all about some of those projects I have found that I really really want to try.

Here we go with project #1

As part of going back to school, I had to get a new computer....
had to.... ha!
As if I was forced against my will to do so....(Thank you student loans!)
Right now it has mostly been safely stashed away in the laptop sleeve of my book bag.
Functional? yes.
Pretty? maybe.
Sick of getting my scarf and gloves stuck on the Velcro closure? Absolutely.

Project #3
Casserole Dish Carrier

I tried to make one of these several years ago from scratch....
No pattern.
No tutorial.
Nothing more than the memory of seeing one of these at a church potluck growing up.
Needless to say....it is shoved in the back of a box, drawer or landfill somewhere. So I was excited to see this tutorial!

Well, there are definitely more projects I want to try, but gotta publish this one before the new year starts!

New Printer?!?!?!?!?

Can it be true? I'm getting a new printer at work?!?!?! I realize this might not be as exciting for you as it is for me. but what you must understand is that I have the oldest computer at work... by like 3 years or more (and in computer age, 3 years is a long time!) I've only been without a printer for like 3 days at work, but even when I did have a color printer, it didn't print on cardstock which ment I couldn't print the business cards, or the time cards. Now I can print color things at my desk that I would either have to have someone else print, or I would have to print them on the other side of the building, meaning I would have to go to the other side of the building, load the correct paper product in the printer, go back to my desk to hit the print button, back to the printer to collect the printed items, then back to my desk to do whatever I had planned on doing with it. (that is if I remember what I was going to do with it)

Rough Day

I can't say it's entirely been rough... just the last 20 minutes. The rest of my weekend was great! (that's for a happier blog post later.) As I was on my way home from a birthday party, I realized tomorrow is Monday. I have to go back to work tomorrow. And I don't want to. Going along with that is I'm sick of my job and I'm sick of complaining about my job. I'm grateful for the ability I have to work and provide for myself. I really am. But this last year, it's been really rough. Between a new boss and new rules and procedures I just dont want to be there anymore. I really dont! I'm sick of disliking Sunday nights so much because I know what the next day will bring. Frustration, anxiety, loathing, genereal dislike, feeling underappreciated. I dont know how much more of this job I can take! I was so worked up about this on the way home that I was crying. Then when I walked in the door of my house, I was to the point of being angry.
